Tatanka

Buffalo are the American west. Their legacy is part of every layer of western history. Today they are making a tremendous come back from near extinction. Anyone that has ever been around the shaggy beasts recognizes their majesty.

The American Bison Association is dedicated to preserving and promoting buffalo. As part of this on going effort, they commissioned me to make a saddle commemorating the 2007 International Bison Conference and the great American buffalo. Purists call them bison, but who ever heard of Bison Bill Cody. On our ranch, they are buffalo.

Internationally know artist, Mick Harrison of Belle Fourche, S.D. created several original drawings for me to use as carving patterns on this limited edition saddle.

Tatanka is the ultimate acquisition of collectors of fine buffalo art. Part of the proceeds from each Tatanka saddle goes to the Nation al Bison Association to help finance their continuing efforts toward the preservation of the great American buffalo.
