I've been building chaps for over thirty years. It has been my privilege to make chaps for some of the finest cowboys and horsemen in the country. Tom Selleck wore my chaps in Quigley Down Under, Monte Walsh, Cross Fire Trail and Last Stand at Saber River.
I take a great deal of pride in these chaps. Each pair is made individually to your measurement and specifications. There are no short cuts. I never cut three legs out of one hide. I refuse to use splits, and hand cut all fringe. My husband Jerry Croft carves the belts. His work is known around the world.
Only the finest American leather is used. All leather is top grain. The majority of step-ins, zippered chaps and chinks are made from moccasin tan leather. It is a strong supple leather and will take a great deal of abuse. Batwing chaps are of heavier stiffer leather. For customers that prefer a lighter weight of leather I use the lighter weight leather used in rodeo chaps.
If you have any questions let me know. When you decide you are ready to order you chaps, I'll explain the measurement procedure and together we'll design your custom chaps. Remember these are just pictures. I'll build what ever you can imagine.
Thanks, Duffy Croft
